Demo is always on the look out for writers, photographers, and artists. See below for guidelines on how to get involved.1. Writers:
Interested writers, see attached for a short application form. Completed applications are due by Thursday, Oct. 4th, 2007.
Sections in the magazine includes Hart House / On Campus News, Features, Student / Alum Spotlight, and Reviews (films, books, albums, live shows).
Selected writers will be contacted and article assignments will be given the week of October 8, 2007.
***Note: Writers may also submit previously unpublished articles for consideration to be included in the issue.
Writers may also submit pitches for potential article assignments.***
2. Photographers, Artists:
Demo also accepts original photography and artwork related to music. Please submit to demo.harthouse@gmail.com.
We are also looking for regular photographers to join the team. If interested, please send three sample photographs to demo.harthouse@gmail.com.
3. Getting More Involved:
If you would like to get more involved with Demo, we are looking for Section Editors, an Assistant Layout Editor and Communications Managers. These positions will be more geared towards the Spring Issue.
Section Editors (3-4)
- Work with rest of editorial team to conceptualize ideas for article assignments within section
- Edit articles within section
- Communication with writers
Assistant Layout Editor (1)
- Help Managing Editor with creative layout design for all pages of magazine
- Must have knowledge of In-Design
Communications Manager (2-3)
- Responsible for magazine outreach into local community - including distribution of magazine
- Organizing fundraising initiatives – develop system for advertisements within magazine

Timeline for the FALL ISSUE:
Deadline for Writers Applications: Thursday, October 4th, 2007 (right before Thanksgiving weekend)
Submission Deadline for assigned articles, and article submissions: Friday November 2, 2007
The Fall Issue will be published in Mid November.
